When we work in top-level political and diplomatic circles, KTI initiatives are often carried out discretely. Similarly, much of our reach and ‘clout’ in the 21stCentury social media information war is all the more effective for being done without our name being openly attached to all our various projects.
But our efforts in the more down-to-earth field of providing direct material assistance to people in need are a different matter.
Here are members of our Hungarian team handling a whole estate car’s worth of good quality second-hand clothes. These are collected to give to poor Hungarian families. The total in this latest drive is more than half a tonne of clothes, which is being sorted and stored in our Priory and then given out to grateful families with babies and young children in the neglected and deprived rural east of the country.
Not as high-powered as some of our work, but still capable of making a real difference in the lives of real people. So all our Brethren, wherever you may be in the world, can give yourselves a big pat on the back, because such things only happen because we have the financial and organisational back-up to make them happen. Thank you and keep it up, we still have much work to do!
