2,000 years after Christ died for our sins, Christians are still dying as the victims of persecution all over the Middle East. The Coptic Christian minority in Egypt are particularly vulnerable. After yet another massacre, thousands of them came out on the streets to protest by calling out the name ‘Jesus’ in witness to their faith and refusal to be intimidated.
The only place in the whole region where Christians are truly safe and welcome are the parts of Syria under the control of the secular and tolerant Assad government.
That’s why the Saudi Arabia Muslim bigots – whose oil billions give them so much power in Washington, London and European capitals – are pushing so hard for the USA to take down Assad – because then their Jihadi armies will slaughter every hated Christian in the country.
Pray that their evil plan is thwarted. Pray for the persecuted Christians of the Middle East.
