Britain’s so-called ‘MainStream Media’ (MSM) sank to a new low this morning. Every single newsstand paper either IGNORED or FORGOT that this morning sees the eleventh anniversary of the 7/7 Bombings in central London.
How will the grieving families of the 52 innocent victims and the hundreds of survivors feel when they compare this insult with the massive coverage that the UK press give each year to the anniversary of 9/11?
More than that, the failure to cover 7/7 is absolutely astounding given yesterday’s publication of the Chilcot Report, which includes the judgement that Blair’s illegal war made Britain even more vulnerable to terrorism.
Quite simply, the victims of the London tube and bus bombings were among the ‘collateral damage’ of Blair’s crime in Iraq. For the MSM to fail to remember them, and to fail to ‘join the dots’, is an appalling example of the collapse in standards – both moral and professional – of a once great industry. Shame on them all!
