Facebook is very keen to promote sexual minority ‘Pride, but the social media giant has refused point-blank to give parity of esteem to Christians.
Mark Zuckerberg’s company has rejected requests by Christians to create a cross “reaction” emoji.
Campaigners are incensed at the lack of a Christ-related miniature symbol after a Pride flag was added to the social media giant’s pictorial lexicon last month.
Facebook introduced the rainbow-coloured reaction emoji to mark LGBT Pride month on 9 June and “celebrate love and diversity”. But apparently it has no love for Christians or Christianity.
Speaking to HuffPost, a Facebook spokesman said: ‘This (cross) reaction is not actually available on Facebook, and is not something we’re working on.’
He did not elaborate on the reasons for this.
