In just over 30 years in the middle of the last century, some eighty million European men died in two world wars and the Bolshevik holocaust.

“The Hollow Men” is one of the finest poems by the ‘reactionary’ poet T.S.Eliot. It reflects on the devastation and on the weakness the tragedy left behind. Our civilisation was terribly wounded by the disastrous last century.
