RAF firefighters in Cyprus have been involved in tackling a large blaze inside the Sovereign Base Area at Akrotiri.
It is believed the fire started due to farmers setting light to their reed beds to try and encourage new growth.
However, due to a particularly hot summer, combined with high winds, meant the fire spread quickly and grew out of control.
Fire crews from both Akrotiri and Episkopi were involved in tackling the flames.
The blaze was around a mile from RAF Akrotiri and there was no impact on base operations.
